✽ Buildings represent 38.9% of U.S. primary energy use.
✽ Green building will support 7.9 million U.S. jobs and pump $554 million into the American economy over the next four years (2009-2013).
How to Help your Finishes Qualify
Some of our products such as clay and lime plasters merit credits in the Indoor Environmental Quality category of LEED point certification. LEED certification is obtained after submitting an application documenting compliance with the requirements of the rating system as well as paying registration and certification fees. Certification is granted solely by the Green Building Certification Institute responsible for the third party verification of project compliance with LEED requirements.
Recently the application process for new construction certification has been streamlined electronically, via a set of active PDFs that automates the process of filing the documentation.
