CLIENT: Hospital, VA
OUR ROLE: Temporary Installation Commission

Hand-moulding thousands of individually cut oak leaves cut from aluminum them oxidized to give a subtle patina, this projected involved a creative force of artists, sculptors, metal workers and jewelry designers to complete. Each of the individual leaves were woven with others to create one large oak leaf. Three of these were woven and suspended in the atria of a Virginia Hospital. The piece was to symbolize community and unity, being that we much like the lone oak leaf, are not alone but bound by one another to a collective whole.
